CLEMSON, SC - The Lady Tigers hosted the ACC/Big Ten Challenge to open their 2023 home schedule and swept No.11 Northwestern and Ohio State. Valerie Cagle hit homers in 3 straight games on Saturday and Sunday, giving her 6 on the season, and was stellar in the circle as well. She's batting .576 this season and is 5-0 in the circle! McKenzie Clark took the second pitch of the 1st inning out of the park on Friday and bookended the weekend by doing the same in the 1st inning on Sunday, giving her 4 homers on the season. The Tigers blew out No.11 Northwestern 15-2 in 5 innings on Friday but were tested against the Wildcats on Saturday. They led 3-0 and staved off a late rally by the Cats to win 3-2 with Cagle getting the save. The Tigers had little trouble with the Buckeyes, though, winning 5-1 on Saturday and 10-0 in 5 innings on Sunday.
They host No.13 Georgia on Tuesday, looking to avenge last year's loss to the Bulldogs. Our post-game interviews are below!
