CLEMSON, SC - After sweeping their season-opening series against Binghamton over the weekend, the Tigers overcame deficits twice against Charlotte on Tuesday, improving to 4-0 under new head coach Erik Bakich. The Tigers trailed 2-0 before scoring scoring 4 runs in the 4th. They trailed again 5-4 in the top of the 6th but tied it in the bottom half and then rallied for 4 more runs in the 7th to win 9-5.
The trio of Blackwell, Wright and freshman Cam Cannarella continued to swing hot bats. Blackwell was 2-3 with a triple and 2 RBI's, Wright was 2-5 with 2 RBI's and Cannarella was 2-4 with 2 runs scored. They are batting .538, .412 and .500, respectively. Freshman catcher Jacob Jarrell hit a 2-run HR, the Tigers' only homer of the game. Two of his first 3 hits as a Tiger have been homers. The Tigers continued to rack up the stolen bases as well, adding 4 more steals to give them 21 on the season.
