CLEMSON, SC - With Friday's game rained out, the Tigers played a doubleheader with Cuse on Saturday and dismantled the Orange. Moore and Cagle hit back-to-back homers in the 3rd inning of game one to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead, and that would be all they needed. Cuse made it 2-1 in the 6th on a 2-out single, but the Tigers answered in the bottom half when Oda hit a 2-run triple to make it 4-1. Cagle improved to 8-1 in the circle and hit her 8th HR of the season, just one behind the two national leaders.
Game 2 was an 8-0 run-rule rout for starting pitcher Millie Thompson, who improved to 6-0 on the season. The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first with a 2-out, 2-run double by Logoleo and an RBI single by Oda. Logoleo added another 2-run double in the 4th followed by an RBI triple by Clark and RBI single by Cagle in the 5th.
The Tigers are now 19-1 on the season, losing only 1-0 to No.9 Tennessee in Florida. They'll go for the weekend sweep on Sunday at noon. Our post-game interviews with Rittman, Logoleo and Oda are below!
