WR Will Taylor announced that he will forego football this fall and focus solely on baseball. It's a wise decision on his part and not surprising at all to me. In fact someone asked me a couple months ago whether his future was in football or baseball and how much we should expect from him on the football field this season. I said his future was definitely in baseball and that I did not expect him to do much in football this season, similar to last season, because he was still learning to play receiver and the Tigers are solid at that position.
Taylor caught a touchdown from Cade Klubnik in the season opener against Georgia Tech last season. I believe he's the first Clemson athlete to win an ACC Championship in two different sports in the same academic year. He had a great first full season of baseball, and I can't wait to see what he does next year after a few months of fall ball, which he hasn't had before!
