Welcome to another edition of What We Are Hearing!
It's a homecoming for Tony Elliott, who brings his much-improved 4-2 UVA team into Death Valley. CJ Spiller will be inducted into the Ring of Honor right before kickoff with his RB Coach Predecessor on the opposite sideline. On to the matchup!
UVA SYNOPSIS
The Hoos come in 4-2 off a close loss to Louisville, 24-20, last week. They also lost to Maryland but beat BC a couple weeks ago. 6'0, 183-pound quarterback Anthony Colandrea is a solid dual-threat quarterback. He's completed 64.4 percent of his passes this season for 1,490 yards and 9 touchdowns with 4 interceptions. He also has 242 rushing yards and 2 TD's, averaging 3.8 yards per carry. Former Clemson RB Kobe Pace will also return to Death Valley.
On defense, look out for Sanker. He is essentially the Hoos' version of Barrett Carter; a freak athlete and great leader on the field.
CLEMSON STATUS
The Tigers are in great shape from an injury standpoint, although Bryant Wesco and Tyler Brown might be out again, as they were last week at Wake.
PREDICTION
The Tigers have won the turnover margin in every game during their 5-game win streak. If they do that again, it won't be close.
CLEMSON 48 Virginia 13
