CLEMSON, SC - The Tigers improved to 6-1 on the season, going 4-0 over the weekend to open their home slate. They beat VCU 6-2 on Friday and 4-3 on Saturday night, while beating NCA&T 12-7 on Saturday and 4-2 on Sunday. They also hit their first two homers of the season; one by Gaffney on Saturday and one by McCladdie on Sunday. The latter also hit a big 2-run double in the Tigers' 4-3 win on Saturday night and made great plays in the field at multiple positions, playing at third, first and outfield. Reed Garris got his first career save on Saturday night, and LeGuernic had a good start on the mound Sunday, redeeming himself from his first start against Ole Miss last week.
The Tigers already have two one-run wins this season and will host Winthrop on Tuesday before the big Palmetto Series against the Gamecocks next weekend. Post-game interviews are below!
