CLEMSON, SC - The Defending ACC Champs began August camp on Friday, and I watched their first practice in shorts with no pads.
It was great to see Ian in a football helmet for the first time! And they had brand new padded practice helmets today. My biggest takeaway from watching practice was that Adam Randall is THICK! He's up to almost 240 pounds and is pure muscle. Dabo said a couple of weeks ago that he thinks Randall will be one of the great stories in college football this season, and he might be right if Randall stays healthy. Speaking of running backs, Jay Haynes participating in drills today. He was wearing a knee brace and will be in a green jersey for most of camp, but it's great to see him back on the field after that ACL tear in the ACC Championship.
The Tigers are in good health, with just a couple of backups out. TE Olsen Patt-Henry had his tonsils removed and will miss the first couple of practices. I'll have more in a bit. In the meantime, our press conference with Dabo, post-practice interviews with the linebackers and practice photos are below!
