CLEMSON, SC - Transfer Nick Davidson put on a show for Littlejohn on Tuesday night! He came off the bench and scored 25 points for the 4th time in his career! He scored 21 straight for the Tigers to end the 1st half. He only played 25 minutes, so he averaged a point per minute. It's too bad that he got into foul trouble with a couple of bad calls and came out of the game with 2 minutes left to clear the bench, or he probably would have finally broken his career high. RJ Godfrey fouled out, but Welling was able to stay out of foul trouble. A big difference with this team is that Brownell has 3 solid big men--each of whom are worthy of starting--and that's something he's never had in the past. If one or even two of them get into foul trouble, they don't have any drop off.
The Tigers did not have a 20-point scorer until a couple weeks ago, and now they've had one in three of the last four games! Porter did so twice, both in road games, and now Davidson joins him. The Tigers are now 15-3 overall and have won 8 straight since the buzzer-beater by No.10 BYU at Madison Square Garden, blowing a 27-point lead. They are 5-0 in ACC play and have won 23 of their last 25 ACC regular season games! They will square off against one of the other two undefeated ACC teams in Miami here at Littlejohn on Saturday at 2:15.
