CLEMSON, SC - The Tigers finally got back into the win column on Saturday, snapping a 4-game losing streak, beating No.24 Louisville. Jestin Porter, who had been very quiet offensively for several games, led the Tigers with 16 points, shooting 4-8 from the arc. He also had 3 assists, 3 steals, 3 rebounds and no turnovers! The Tigers were much better defending the perimeter, which was a big deficiency throughout the losing streak. They held the Cards to 27.8 percent from the arc.
The Tigers led 38-35 at the half and built a 15-point lead with a few minutes left, but it got a little uncomfortable down the stretch. Louisville kept making 3-pointers, extending the game with fouls, and the Tigers missed some free throws, which shrunk the lead to 4 points with 2 seconds left. Ace Buckner made one of two free throws, though, to put the game away.

The Tigers go on the road to Chapel Hill next to take on the Heels, who the Tigers beat in Littlejohn last season. UNC suffered a major loss with the season-ending injury to top-10 NBA Draft prospect Caleb Wilson, whose brilliant performance helped the Heels knock off Duke on a last-second 3-pointer a month ago. The Heels are still playing good ball, though, with guard Seth Trimble and big-man Henri Veesaar, and a road win over No.17 would be huge for the Tigers.
