CLEMSON, SC - What a weekend for the Tigers! Following a 12-1 run-rule win over Michigan State in 7 innings on Wednesday in Greenville, the Tigers picked up right where they left off, beating LaSalle 14-1 in 7 innings on Friday. They rested regular Friday starter Aidan Knaak but clearly didn't need him. They played a doubleheader on Saturday, winning 6-4 followed by another 7-inning win 16-4.
Jarren Purify had an unbelievable weekend. He hit his first homers of the season on Saturday and Sunday, going 9-13 with 5 walks and 4 stolen bases! Jacob Jarrell hit his team-leading 6th HR on Saturday, and Savoie hit his 5th on Sunday, tying McCladdie for second on the team. The pitching was also outstanding for the most part over the weekend. The defense was a little spotty in the first game on Saturday, committing 3 errors, but they had just one in the next game and none on Sunday.
The Tigers improved to 15-1 and have one more midweek game before beginning ACC play against Georgia Tech at home next weekend. Post-game interviews are below!
