I just got off the phone with Dabo, and he said Renfrow looked good today and will be evaluated again tomorrow. He said they do not know for sure that it's a concussion but that seems to be the concern. In case you haven't read by recap of the game yet, Dabo told us after the game last night that they asked Renfrow what his wedding date is, and he gave the correct response of April 13th. It would have to be a serious trauma for him to forget the numbers 4/13 because the play for which he is most famous and beloved was the pass from #4 to #13 to win the National Championship!
I asked Dabo about Chris Rumph's son lining up against him last night, and he told a neat story about that. As I wrote in my preview, What We Are Hearing, Chris Rumph coached with Dabo at Clemson for 5 years, and his son is leading Duke in sacks as a redshirt freshman defensive end. Dabo said the younger Rumph played with his boys on the baseball team he coached, and his wife Kathleen got several of the Clemson players who camped together--Will and Drew, the Davis brothers, Ben Batson, Nolan Turner and Chris Rumph II--to take a group photo before the game last night.
