CLEMSON, SC - The Tigers played much better than last night in all facets, especially defensively. After a mistake-riddled game 1 on Friday night, there were great plays made all over the field by Meredith, Wilkie, Davidson, Majkowski and Byrd. I asked Monte about Meredith's status, and they don't know yet. Looked like either a quad cramp or pull, hopefully the former!
It was another great outing for Clark, who is now 4-0 after his 2nd start. He threw 69 strikes and 30 balls in his scoreless 7 full innings, striking out 7 with just 3 hits and no walks. Holt Jones picked up his second save. The Tigers are now 14-4 overall and 4-1 in the ACC. The rubber match is Sunday at 1:00, and I'll have live play-by-play right here as always. Freshman Keyshawn Askew will make his second straight Sunday start.
Post-game interviews with Monte Lee, Holt Jones, Kyle Wilkie and Mat Clark are below!
