The Tigers nearly pulled off the sweep in their first road series of the season, losing 3-2 at Boston College on Sunday after winning the first 2 games 8-1 and 9-5. It looked like they would rally for the win on Sunday when Logan Davidson came to the plate with bases loaded and 2 outs in the 8th, but he fouled out to end the inning. Still, the Tigers swept Monte Lee's alma mater and former team, College of Charleston, on Tuesday and Wednesday to go 4-1 for the week. It's not easy to play 5 games in a week, including a game in Columbia on Wednesday and then traveling to Boston the next day for a weekend road series, but the Tigers nearly aced the challenge. They moved up from No.20 to No.15 in this week's Collegiate Baseball rankings, below. The Tigers are 18-6 overall and 6-3 in the ACC. They're at Charlotte on Tuesday and have another road series this weekend at Virginia Tech.
