The Tigers had a situational scrimmage in Death Valley this morning, and we just finished talking to Dabo. He said Potter made a 51-yard FG, which is a nice rebound after missing two in the first scrimmage on Saturday. Dabo said other than that, he’s been automatic in camp is way ahead for the starting spot. I asked Dabo about Xavier Kelly, and he said that last night Kelly had perhaps his best practice ever. Kelly followed that up with a sack today. Dabo said that there were big plays by both sides today. Freshman RB Michel Dukes had a 70-yard TD run, and Cornell Powell had a 70-yard TD reception. The defense had some big plays too, coming up with a few sacks and two turnovers, including a scoop-and-score.
