Dabo held his weekly press conference on Tuesday in preparation for Saturday's game against Wofford on Military Appreciation Day, always a special game in Death Valley. I asked Dabo about Denzel Johnson's status and whether Xavier Thomas would play this week. He said Denzel is day-to-day with a bruised shoulder, and XT is still day-to-day as well. He's still in the concussion protocol, and Dabo said he just leaves all of that to Danny Poole to tell him when XT can practice, and he has to practice in order to play per Dabo's policy.
We also spoke with Ben Batson and Logan Rudolph, who scored his first career TD on the scoop-and-score Saturday night. Tanner Muse told us yesterday how quirky Rudolph is, and we were able to finally experience that side of him today. Rudolph introduced us to his alter ego, "Coach Stiff," which regularly has his teammates in hysterics in the locker room. Dabo even favored us with an impression of Coach Stiff during his press conference. It is definitely worth a watch! This team certainly isn't lacking in character and personality. We had a good interview with Matt Bockhorst, who is also a riot, on Monday.
The full interviews are below, and I'll have more in a bit!
