CLEMSON, SC - Highly recruited true freshman Mack Anglin made his Clemson debut on the mound Wednesday, and walking his first 3 batters to load the bases with no outs, he settled in. Two runs scored on an error by Hall, but Anglin proceeded to strike out the side and went 3 innings with 7 K's and one hit. Another highly recruited true freshman, Nick Hoffman, came in and was equally impressive, going 3 innings with 3 K's, 2 hits and no runs. That wasn't all for the freshmen pitchers. Nick Clayton and Geoffrey Gilbert each made his second career appearance. In all, the Clemson freshmen combined for 8 innings with 12 K's and 3 hits before Spiers came in to close the 9th for his second save of the season.
The Tigers are now 4-0 on the season and have allowed just 7 total runs. I'll have more in a bit, and post-game interviews are below!
