CLEMSON, SC - Sam "Wild Thing" Weatherly picked up his first win of the season, striking out 14 in 6 innings, allowing just 2 hits as the Tigers posted their second shutout of the young season. Weatherly hit 2 batters again but only walked one this time. He was on pace to tie the Clemson single-game strike out record if he had pitched 9 innings and is top-10 nationally in K's per 9 innings. The Tigers are 5-0 and have allowed just 7 total runs. Sam Hall busted out of his slump with a 2-out RBI triple. His only other hit this year is a HR. Henderson is batting .550 and Meredith is .474. Spiers picked up 3rd save of the season.
Post-game interviews and highlights are below. Davis Sharpe will make his second start on Saturday at 3:00 for Game 2. Keep it here for live coverage!
